Why Does This Exist?
A-Level Physics Mastery exists to help capable Year 12 and Year 13 students turn confusion, inconsistency, and exam panic into structured A/A preparation.*
Students work with us because school explanations often lack depth, textbooks do not prepare them for difficult exam-style questions, and many tutors fail to give them a clear structure, support system, or weekly plan.
Our aim is to help students understand and apply A-Level Physics faster through live interactive teaching, constant questioning, exam-focused workbooks, and a clear step-by-step system.
World Class Physicist

Our Head of Physics, Ellie Peters, holds a degree in Physics from Durham University and has over 5 years’ experiencetutoring A-Level Physics, Maths, and Further Maths.
Students are not taught by a generic tutor who simply works through questions.
They are taught by a Physics specialist who understands how to explain the ideas behind the equations, how to set up difficult exam questions, and how to help students think like A/A* candidates.
To master A-Level Physics, students need to learn from someone who genuinely understands Physics at a deep level.
Why A-Level Physics Mastery?

A-Level Physics is one of the hardest A-Levels to master.
Many students taking Physics are already strong in Maths, and some are even excelling in Further Maths, yet Physics still feels unpredictable.
They know the equations, but do not know which one to use.
They understand the lesson, but freeze when the exam question looks unfamiliar.
So we created a 3-step strategy for A-Level Physics success called the Simple Physics System.
Students and parents choose to work with us because of our interactive teaching, constant questioning approach, weekly live 1:1 help sessions, structured lesson workbooks, and clear course pathway.
Simply put, students get a proper weekly structure, expert support, and a clear action plan to move from where they are now towards an A/A* in 16 weeks.
Our 3 Step System For Physics Success
When students join A-Level Physics Mastery, we do not just “go through topics.”
We implement our 3-step system designed to take students from inconsistent D/C/B performance towards confident A/A* exam performance.
Most students do not struggle with Physics because they are bad at Maths.
They struggle because they have never been properly taught how to think through Physics problems.
They know the equations.
They understand parts of the lesson.
But when an unfamiliar exam question appears, they do not know:
• what the question is really testing
• which equation to use
• how to set up the maths
• what diagram or model to draw
• how to link ideas from different topics
• how to write the explanation in the way the mark scheme wants
That is exactly what the Simple Physics System is designed to fix.

The Result
The Simple Physics System does not make A-Level Physics “effortless.”
It makes it structured.
It makes it predictable.
It gives students a clear process for approaching questions, choosing equations, setting up the maths, and writing answers that score marks.
For capable students who are currently stuck at D/C/B because Physics feels confusing, inconsistent, or impossible to revise properly, this system gives them the clarity and discipline needed to move towards A/A* performance.
I would use this line at the end instead of your current final sentence:
This system makes A-Level Physics feel less random, less overwhelming, and far more controllable.

Here's What's Included

Each week we teach the most important and challenging topics across both Year 12 and Year 13 A-Level Physics, building understanding from first principles before progressing to the highest-mark exam questions.
Lessons are highly interactive. Students are encouraged to answer questions, explain their thinking, and upload images of their working so we can identify misconceptions and provide feedback in real time.
Every lesson has a clear objective: to build genuine understanding, strengthen exam technique, and ensure students leave knowing not just what to do, but why they're doing it. This is the difference between simply covering content and developing the confidence to succeed in the exam.

At the end of each week, students attend our Exam Question Classes, where they apply everything they've learned to challenging, exam-style questions.
These sessions focus on the questions that separate the top grades from the rest. We use a combination of recent specification questions, carefully selected legacy questions, and original problems created by our teaching team to stretch students beyond what they typically encounter in school.
Many schools simply don't have time to explore the most demanding questions in depth. These classes ensure students develop the problem-solving skills, confidence and exam technique needed to tackle the toughest questions with confidence.
Every live lesson is recorded, so your child can rewatch it as many times as they need until they finish their A-Levels.
Unlike school or most private tutors, where an explanation is heard once and then gone, our lesson library allows students to revisit difficult topics whenever they need to reinforce their understanding.
This is especially valuable in A-Level Physics, where many concepts build on one another. Instead of relying on incomplete notes or trying to remember a complex explanation from weeks earlier, students can revisit the lesson, hear the explanation again, and strengthen their understanding before moving on.
Before every live lesson and Exam Question Class, students receive a professionally designed workbook to print or use digitally.
Each workbook is carefully structured to follow the lesson, combining clear explanations, worked examples and carefully selected questions that build from fundamental concepts to the most challenging exam-style problems.
After the lesson, these workbooks become an invaluable revision resource, allowing students to revisit key ideas, practise independently and consolidate their understanding throughout the course.
Stuck on a Physics question? Don't wait days for an answer.
Every week, students have access to three live drop-in Office Hours, where they can receive personalised 1:1 supportfrom our teaching team.
Whether it's homework, a lesson they didn't fully understand, or a difficult exam question, students can join as often as they need and get help there and then.
It's like having a Physics teacher available throughout the week, rather than just during a single lesson.
Each week, students receive carefully selected exam-style questions designed to reinforce what they've learned and develop the skills needed for top grades.
Every question comes with detailed video solutions, allowing students to compare their method, identify mistakes, and understand exactly how to improve.
Combined with our Office Hours and unlimited message support, students receive the feedback they need to keep progressing with confidence and avoid repeating the same mistakes.
Each month, students complete an exam-style assessment to measure their progress and prepare them for the demands of the real A-Level exams.
These assessments help students identify weaker areas early, track their improvement over time, and focus their revision where it will have the greatest impact, ensuring they're continually moving closer to their target grade.

Common Questions From Parents & Students
As soon as possible.
It’s far better to start before assessments rather than reacting after disappointing results. If your child’s next mock or assessment were their final grade, would you genuinely be happy with it? Most parents realise the answer is no. Starting early gives us the time to identify gaps, fix exam technique, and build confidence before marks start to matter. Once results are on paper, options become more limited and pressure increases.
Yes.
Students are encouraged to ask for help during lessons and we often invite them to unmute their microphone so we can check understanding in real time. If a student prefers not to speak, they can use the message support feature instead, and we’re always happy to accommodate different comfort levels. Students can also share photos of their working so we can see exactly how they’re thinking and correct mistakes early. Outside lessons, they have access to multiple live 1:1 office hours each week to get help on any A-Level Physics topic, plus unlimited message support. This ensures questions are dealt with quickly and no student is left struggling in silence.
Most students begin to see meaningful improvements within around 3 months.
That said, the timeline depends on the student's consistency and willingness to put the work in. A-Level Physics is one of the most challenging A-Level subjects, so there are no shortcuts.
Students who attend lessons, complete the weekly work, ask for help when they're stuck, and stay consistent typically make excellent progress over time. Our job is to provide the structure, support and accountability. The student's job is to show up and do the work. When both happen consistently, significant improvement usually follows.
The majority of the teaching is delivered by Elspeth Peters, Head of A-Level Physics Mastery.
Elspeth holds a 2:1 Physics degree from Durham University, is a qualified UK teacher, and has five years' experience specialising in A-Level Physics tuition. She has helped hundreds of students build confidence, master difficult concepts and achieve top grades through clear, structured teaching.
Selected parts of the programme are also delivered by Amrit Shinh, Founder and CEO of A-Level Physics Mastery and A-Level Maths Mastery, whose teaching has helped hundreds of students achieve outstanding A-Level results.
Ask yourself this...
Which student is more likely to succeed?
The student who sees their tutor for one hour each week, or the student who has access to expert support three to four times per week?
Now consider this...
Which student has the greater advantage?
The one who can only ask questions during a single weekly lesson, or the one with multiple opportunities throughout the week to get help, stay accountable and keep moving forward?
And finally...
Who is more likely to build the habits, consistency and confidence needed for an A*?
A student learning in isolation with one tutor, or a student supported by an expert teacher while also surrounded by ambitious classmates working towards the same goal?
Preparing for A-Level Maths or Physics is a team effort. You wouldn't send someone to climb Everest with one guide and hope for the best. You'd want an experienced team supporting them every step of the way.
That's why our model is a hybrid of small group teaching and unlimited 1:1 support. It combines the structure and motivation of group learning with personalised guidance whenever students need it, resulting in greater accountability, more support and, ultimately, better outcomes.
Yes.
Our programme is designed for motivated students who are willing to put the work in.
Most homework is self-marked using our detailed video solutions and mark schemes, allowing students to receive immediate feedback rather than waiting days for marking. If they're unsure why they've lost marks or need extra help, they can attend our 1:1 office hours or use our unlimited message support, where we'll work through their questions with them.
We don't believe students need someone checking every piece of work. They need a system that encourages independence while giving them expert support whenever they need it.
Students who attend lessons, complete the weekly work, review their mistakes, and make full use of the support available consistently achieve the best results.
